Pre-installation Check: Before installing the pulley, check if the pulley's dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and balance meet the requirements. Also, check the shaft's dimensions and surface quality to ensure accurate fit between the shaft and pulley.
Installation Methods: There are two methods for installing pulleys: hot mounting and cold mounting. Hot mounting involves heating the pulley to a certain temperature and then fitting it onto the shaft. After cooling, the pulley will be firmly fixed to the shaft; cold mounting uses equipment such as a press to press-fit the pulley onto the shaft. During installation, ensure the pulley and shaft are coaxial to avoid eccentricity.
Maintenance Points
Regular Inspection: Regularly check the pulley for wear, surface quality, and balance. If wear, cracks, or deformation are found, replace the pulley immediately.
Tension Adjustment: Belt tension significantly impacts the performance and lifespan of belt drives. Excessive tension increases belt wear and shaft stress; insufficient tension causes belt slippage, reducing transmission efficiency. Therefore, regularly adjust belt tension to maintain it within the appropriate range.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the pulley and belt clean to prevent dust, oil, and other impurities from entering the belt drive system, affecting belt friction and lifespan.
